Creating and Configuring
User Groups
Groups enable you to define access rights and privileges for multiple
users simultaneously instead of individually.
After defining a group, administrators can place multiple users into
that group.
Doing so defines those users simultaneously, according to
the group’s parameters, saving valuable time.
SecureAgent® groups are defined by the three SecureAgent® Group parameters:
-
Parameter Description Access (The types of functions & services that the group can access,
such as SuperVision, FileTransfer and SVGUI.
The appropriate Host Service must be loaded (for example, SaiRcp for
FileTransfer).
-
Privilege Privileges the group has with that particular machine, such as
ModifyUserPrivilege,
ModifyHostServices and ModifyAccess.
-
ModifierID—The ID of the last group to modify that machine. Settings
Description— Describes the
group’s purpose.
