Inventor Awarded Patent
for Secure Communications Controller

The U.S. Patent and
Trademark Office issued patent #6,578,146 on June 10, 2003 to inventor R.
Brent Johnson, president of SecureAgent Software, for the IDG 9074 Secure
Communications Controller.
This is Johnson's
seventh patent.
"Our controller
was designed to offer customers a superior choice to meet connectivity and
console consolidation needs", said Johnson.
"As a replacement
for IBM's 3174," he said, "the IDG 9074 has numerous benefits and
features not offered by the IBM 2074, Visara SCON and related
controllers."
The IDG 9074
controller connects to a host via an ESCON adapter and provides continuous
support of SNA and non-SNA sessions.
In addition to
offering secure communications, the IDG 9074 controller provides disaster
recovery through remote access capability, instant replay features, both
TCP/IP connectivity and coax output, support for SNA and non-SNA sessions and
features not found in other controllers.
For sale in Europe and
the U.S. for about 18 months, the IDG 9074 is used by major corporations in the United
States and Europe.
